I don't know anyone who hasn't been following the US elections (and the Bollywood inspired comic side-show that has come with it!) and today will certainly be one that is remembered for a long time - but the most important news of all? That a woman - a BAME woman at that - has just made history by becoming the first woman to be elected Vice-President of the United States of America. Today is a win for generation equality because the glass ceiling has been shattered and we need to be talking about this historic moment to continue to inspire young women and girls in particular to strive for the stars. Now, wouldn't it be great if 2024 saw the first female President?

Yep let's ignore all the 'orange' noise that will no doubt erupt shortly. Do not let shouty men take the attention away from a woman's epic achievement! I do wonder though, what do you think the impact of the US election will be for us in the UK?

Absolutely. We must not let this historical achievement be ignored because it has great significance not just for USA but for every woman and girl in the world. Congratulations Kamala Harris! Keep shining!
