This forum is for all poetry lovers and anyone else who fancies joining in.

Lost and Found is about my faith journey and how I found my spiritual calm over the years. I hope you can relate to this poem. I share my innermost experiences and feelings. I would love to hear about your journey and how this has shaped you as a person. I hope this poem inspires you and provides hope that you are not on your own in your journey to find a purpose.

Some things to think about:

1.What do you think the writers conflicts are?

2.Can you relate to the writers journey, where you are in your journey?

3.What do you think the writer is saying by I long for Him to give me redemption?

Colour Me Beautiful is the second poem by Shameem. This is much shorter than Lost and Found and shows a more sensual side to my writing. Let me know what you think of this style.

I love this poem! Thank you for sharing this. It shows that emaan is never consistent, we go through different levels and we change with it. Emaan is not black or white- its a personal journey. I especially love the line about how we read a page and it may be different for someone else who reads it. One ayah of the Quran may hit someone differently and teach someone something differently to myself- and I think that is what is so beautiful.

Hey Karimofthecrop, sorry i must have missed your comment. Thank you so much for responding. I am pleased to hear your take on the poem and your reflections. Thank you. Please do read my new poem called ‘colour me beautiful’ which was published on Valentine’s Day. Would love to hear from you on what you think of my new, much shorter and slightly seductive poem. Once again, thank you for reading and commenting. Peace.
