Being a Muslim Woman and LGBTQ+

A new series launched in collaboration with Shalina Litt (@iamshalina_) explores the issues that take place "Behind Closed Doors".

In this episode, Shalina speaks with Asifa Lahore (@asifalahore) and Saima Razzaq (@mcsaima). Asifa is Britain's First Out Muslim Drag Queen, meanwhile Saima is a buisnesswoman and the first queer Muslim woman to lead a PRIDE event in Birmingham. Both guests are both outspoken, loud and proud activists for LGBTQ+ Muslim rights. They discuss their journeys and the challenges they have faced from their families and the wider community. Shalina also speaks to today's guests about their strong Muslim identity and how they manage this whilst belonging to the LGBTQ+ community.
