by Noor A

In observing Ramadan, the early rises at suhoor inspired Noor to write a poem marvelling at God's creation. Watching the sky as it gradually changes from night-fall to glowing red at sunrise filled her with a sense of wonderment and a reminder that God is always near you.

Having come across the Poetry Corner on MWN Hub, this encouraged Noor to share her poem for the first time. Otherwise, she often keeps her anthology of poems enclosed in a leather-bound book.

My eyes do not tire from marvelling at your creation, Oh Lord,

I look up at your luminous skies at night-fall in wonderment,

At the bright stars, glowing as reminders of Your Knowledge and Power,

These same skies glowing red at sunrise,

Sending peace and blessings on those who awake to remember you,

My eyes do not tire from marvelling at your creation, Oh Lord,

Indeed, I do not deny your favours, I never will.
